Here Comes The Egg

Here Comes the Egg: “On each page there is a clue, an object may look odd to you. With every one that you discover, a riddle soon becomes uncovered.” A fat hen, ducks, brown bears and elongated elephants star in this delightful book featuring tongue twisters, riddles and hidden images. Children will delight in the colorful illustrations while looking for items on every page, including cleverly disguised numbers. Once they’ve had fun gathering all their clues, they are invited to solve a riddle.

AUTHOR BIO: Dr. Kris Nielsen and Dr. Patricia Galloway created Here Comes the Egg, based on a poem they wrote. Their company, Pegasus Global Holdings Inc. in Cle Elum, Washington, oversees large national and international building projects. Kris, who lost a two-year battle with cancer in 2013, earned the American Society of Civil Engineers’ highest award, the Outstanding Projects and Leaders Award, for pioneering the advancement of risk management in the construction industry. The brilliant engineer was just as skilled with creating tongue twisters and poetry. Patricia, president and CEO of Pegasus Global Holdings, also serves as president and CEO of the Kris Nielsen and Patricia Galloway Foundation. The nonprofit organization brings awareness to and helps fund research on combining science and engineering with aspects of social management systems. A portion of proceeds from the book will go to the charity. Patricia and Kris won more than twenty awards recognizing their efforts in engineering, construction management and arbitration. Their work was published in books, forwards and chapters in publications, including Managing Gigaprojects – Advice from Those Who Have Been There, Done That. Award-winning artist Lucas Orthmann illustrated the book. He is curator for the Clymer Museum and Gallery in Ellensburg, Washington, and sells his fine art oil paintings in galleries. He artistic experience is diverse, creating illustrations, public art and murals.
